Fuck Yeah Lame Superheroes

Dedicated to providing you with your daily dose of useless, eccentric, poorly-costumed, or otherwise lame superheroes. Because it's fun to belittle the supernatural.
This blog is maintained (kind of) by Lizette and Malina. We like lame superheroes.

Who is He?:
Arm Fall Off Boy was a DC comics superhero created by Curt Swan in 1989. First appearing in Secret Origins Vol. 2 #46, he was an extremely minor character who somehow managed to gain quite the cult following. In addition to Arm Fall Off Boy, the legendary failure of a superhero also went by Floyd Belkin and Splitter.
Powers and Abilities:
As the name would suggest, Arm Fall Off Boy has the incredible ability to remove his limbs at will and use them as clubs to pummel his enemies.
Why He’s Lame:
In his first comic book appearance, he displays his totally practical and amazing abilities to members of the Legion of Superheroes… and gets rejected. From the Legion of Superheroes. Mind you, this is a superhero team that deems Bouncing Boy acceptable superhero material. But in fact, Arm Fall Off Boy tried out again, this time as Splitter, and almost makes it- until he falls apart at the last challenge. Literally. It’s also worth noting that he doesn’t grow a replacement limb when he detaches his limbs, meaning that if he wants to use his right leg to knock out the enemy, he’d better hobble.
The Verdict:
Arm Fall Off Boy is a superhero whose powers are far more useful in the plumbing or traveling circus industries than in the crime-fighting business.
